Gold Field College of Education, Village Chhainsa, Teh. Ballabgarh Faridabad was established under the aegis of Gold Field Shiksha Sanstha in 2006, with the primary aim to provide value based job-oriented quality education to the rural population. It is a self-financed, co-educational, Secondary Teacher Education College which is recognized by NCTE, Jaipur, and affiliated to M. D. University, Rohtak to run B.Ed and M.Ed courses. The college was recognized by NCTE, Jaipur vide its letter no.

1. NRC/NCTE/F7/ 8221 dated 14.11.2006 for 100 seats
2. NRC/NCTE/F-7/HR-840/28423-29 Dated 21.09.2007 for additional 100 seats
3. NRC/NCTE/HR-1223/2008/60145-151 dated 13.09.2008 dated, to start M.Ed. Course with 25 students.
4. NCTE letter for enhancement of 10 M.Ed. seats vide letter No. DD No. 4924/2010/PI/NCTE/N&S dated 30.07.2010. Additional ten seats for M.Ed. have been increased from session 2010-11 by NCTE Jaipur & M.D.U. Rohtak vide M. D. University Notification No. CB-IX/10/18294-323 Dated 07.10.2010.
5. NRC/NCTE/NRCAPP-2176/223^rdMeeting/2013/70535-541 dated 19.02.2014 to start M.Ed. Course with 50 students.

The progress report of the college since 2006 is as given below;

1. The B.Ed College started in 2006-07         with an intake of 100 B.Ed students. The college had 7 lecturers and one principal.  
2. In 2007-08 the college had an intake of 200 B.Ed students and there were 14 lecturers and one principal in the college        .        
3. In 2008-09 the college got permission to start M.Ed course with an intake of 25 students and there were 16 lecturers, one reader and one principal/ professor in the college      .        
4. 4.     In 2010-11 the college got permission to increase 10 seats of M.Ed course.  Thus, since then the college has B.Ed intake 200 and M.Ed. intake 35 seat.
5. 5.     In 2014 the college got permission to increase 15 seats of M.Ed. course.  Thus, since then the college has B.Ed intake of 200 students and M.Ed. intake of 50 students.

Facilities and infrastructure

1. Seminar Hall

There is a spacious hall for discussions, guest lectures, and workshops with the facility of LCD projector.

2. Multipurpose Hall

The spacious hall provides opportunities to learners for several kinds of co-curricular activities.

3. Work - Experience Room

The institute has well equipped lab for work experience. It provides hands-on experience to students and ample opportunity to innovate and experiment with creative ideas like candle making, preparing teaching aids, interior decoration etc.

  4. Education technology resource centre

The lab is well equipped with very sophisticated and of very high quality teaching (audio- visual) aids. The lab is equipped with a number of overhead projectors, epidiascope, colour T.V., VCD, slides and transparencies, Tape recorders etc. A number of educational CD's procured to enrich the laboratory.   

5. Educational Psychology Resource Room

The educational psychology lab is an excellent and well equipped one. It has almost 44 standardized psychological tests, and manuals. The lab has various psychological tests comprising intelligence, personality, interest, aptitude, motivation, creativity, attitude etc. They help to give a hands-on experience to the B.Ed and M.Ed students.

Language lab has an adequate number of teaching aids for teaching of different languages which provides teacher trainees with varied opportunities.

There is a vast playground for games and sports. The institute has various facilities to pursue a wide range of sporting and cultural activities in the campus.

9. Transport Facilities

Transport facility is provided for students from all parts of Faridabad to College. The college provides transport facility to its staff from Faridabad to the college free of cost.

10. Library Resource Centre

The institute has an excellent well stocked Library consisting of carefully selected text books, reference books , hand books, reports , Government notifications, manuals, encyclopedias , electronic study material, educational journals of national and international repute , popular magazines and leading daily newspapers and is fully geared up to meet the requirements of B.Ed and M.Ed students. Our library is constantly acquiring more books. The library of the college contains:

11. Science Laboratory

Science Lab has been fully equipped in respect of instruments, apparatuses, specimens, microscopes, slides, chemicals etc. to demonstrate practical that help to make subject matter more clear. Students can also avail practical material and prepare Teaching aids during teaching practice. It is a combined lab of Biology Lab,   Physics Lab, and Chemistry Lab.
